HOW WE CAN HELP
“I believe that if one person is watching a huge calamity, let’s say a conflagration, a fire, there are always three principle options. 1) Run away, as far away and as fast as you can and let those who cannot run burn. 2) Write a very angry letter to the editor of your paper demanding that the responsible people be removed from office with disgrace. Or, for that matter, launch a demonstration. 3) Bring a bucket of water and throw it on the fire, and if you don’t have a bucket, bring a glass, and if you don’t have a glass, use a teaspoon, everyone has a teaspoon. And yes, I know a teaspoon is little and the fire is huge but there are millions of us and each one of us has a teaspoon…”

The UN has created 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – an ambitious roadmap flagging the skills required for people everywhere to know how to play their part. A linked series of Inner Development Goals (IDGs) have been created to help teams to develop their skills. Yet, the issues can still feel overwhelming to individuals, teams and to organisations wanting to target their ‘teaspoons’ on the current challenges facing humanity.
Our global team coaching community wants to play their part. We recognise that team coaching is a practical enabler of the work being done on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We coach teams to help them address overwhelm, ambivalence and anxiety and make sense of what steps they can take towards improving their social responsibility impact. We believe that teams can break down these goals to a size and shape that is meaningful and manageable for them. We realise this is something many of us crave.
Our pool of team coaches have experienced our internationally recognised, ICF-accredited programmes and are committed to ongoing professional development through our community groups and supervision. Our programmes help independent and in-house coaches as well as O.D, L&D and HR professionals to develop the skills to become exemplary team coaches through enquiry, practice and intense personal learning experiences. Our team has worked with big brand tech businesses, small local community groups and a plethora between the two. We can help you find the right coach for your team.
Are you an organisation or team working directly on social impact, an Environmental/ Social/Governance (ESG) agenda, or perhaps working on one or more of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)? Or are you a not-for-profit organisation that would really benefit from team coaching support but have limited access to a budget* to get support from a coach? If so, please fill in the form below to explore how we can help:
*Some of our team coaches may be willing to offer their support at a reduced rate or pro bono to teams that can make a real difference but are unable to dedicate funds to this valuable support. We call this our ‘Teaspoon Programme’, inspired by ‘koha’, a pay-what-you-can-afford approach originating in New Zealand. Do not hesitate to reach out if this is your case.
“Through ongoing team coaching with TCS, we went from being a group of smart individuals rowing in different directions, to one team.”
