Our thriving 500 + strong Community of Practice is a global community that provides a space for all team coaches to come together, to connect and belong, to provide and receive support for each other and make a difference through team coaching. We have an ongoing calendar of events and learning. The Community is open to those practising in the area of team coaching, whether you have trained with us all not, and all we ask is that you share your great enthusiasm for team coaching. This introductory session covers the basis of team coaching and the role of the team coach. Participants will learn what team coaching is and why it is mission critical for today’s organisations; know of the elements that make up a typical team coaching journey and the higher order meta-skills that are needed for successful practice. They are able to define team coaching and differentiate between team coaching and other team development modalities. This self-guided online course provides the foundational knowledge needed to confidently step into the field of team coaching. The course covers coaching theory and participants are able to co-create the coaching relationship and foster psychological safety; adequately coach teams in a variety of situations; help the team generate awareness of its own processes and work with the team on its effectiveness. Participants have a firm understanding of what team coaching is and how it differs from other similar group interventions; of the role of a team coach; of the process of team coaching and its stages over time and have a complete team coaching journey map to be used with clients, including assessment tools. This program hones your coaching skills with practice with sessions designed to simulate the team coaching journey you studied, enabling you to both see and experience the stages in action. Participants are able to coach teams in the most challenging situations; apply team coaching skills and intervene effectively; integrate concepts and tools into a whole, meaningful approach; create change for teams and get sustainable results. They have demonstrated team coaching competencies and received developmental feedback from faculty and peers; received supervision; integrated learning by coaching a real-life client team. They have successfully presented a case study and a comprehensive, coherent team coaching methodology.
