I started my career in the energy services industry in Canada and the United States. I was subsequently invited to join a leading executive search firm in Calgary, and spent the balance of my career in the search industry. I built my own firm with two partners and then sold it, moving to a global firm as leader of the global energy practice and an active member of the CEO and board of directors’ practice. I was able to see first-hand what was and wasn’t working with leaders and their teams, and it required me to dig into the dynamics and culture of the company. My ability to be curious, listen, observe and feel what individual leaders and teams needed from one another supports me today as an executive and team coach.
